How to Measure Yourself
Measurement | Description | Location/Instructions |
Bust | Fullest part of the chest | Measure around the fullest part of your bust, keeping the tape measure parallel to the floor and snug but not tight. Ensure the tape goes across your shoulder blades and underarms for accurate measurements. |
Waist | Narrowest part of the waist | Find the natural waistline, usually located just above the belly button and below the ribcage. This is the narrowest part of your torso. Wrap the tape measure around this point, keeping it snug but not tight. |
Hip | Fullest part of the hips/bottom | Stand with feet together, and measure around the fullest part of your hips and bottom, typically 7-9 inches (18-23 cm) below your waist. Keep the tape parallel to the floor and avoid pulling too tight. |
General Guidelines
Use a soft, flexible measuring tape.
Stand straight and relaxed when taking measurements.
Keep the measuring tape snug, but not so tight that it compresses your body.
